Sorry, I should have split up those thoughts. They can impact the finish of polished stainless (like pots and pans). It is very detergent dependent though. Some have bleach, some don't, for instance.

No the abrasives will dull it as well. Also the chemicals in fish detergent will over a long time negatively impact the finish of stainless steel.

Shop around because randomly one store will charge 2x more than another, and it's not like one store is always the highest price. Usually but not always the amazon store mt mercantile is the cheapest

Yes, my dad's closet. I don't think he's bought a new garment since the early 2000s. Many suits from the 90s and earlier. The other thing is if you have classic tastes the tailoring for men never changes either. He benefitted from his dad being a textile engineer.

Corporate green washing isn't about being green. It's about reducing cost and increasing profit in the most cynical way possible. I notice at my own work places after 75 years of the same furniture that would be beautiful with some refinishing they instead throw it away and buy a bunch of mdf furniture they have to replace every 3 years.

Oh wild I've never seen that. I have a Breville mini. It is a great toaster with one fatal flaw no review I read mentioned: the rack is in the exact middle, so unless your toast is 2 dimensional, the top toasts more than the bottom

Why would any toaster oven damage bread? A slice toaster sure, but not seeing how a toaster oven could do this.

Are you hand washing and then letting them air dry? If so, spots will happen no matter what.

Interesting, I had no idea. Now I wonder what the excuse is for KitchenAid and Miele though. KitchenAid gave all its parts to Ukraine to support them in the war? Miele's parts are tied up in a supply chain nobody should have allowed but financially benefits a former German chancellor?

Unfortunately Bosch suspended all colors (like white for instance) about 18 months ago and hasn't taken any new orders for dishwashers from retailers in a year. If you need a new dishwasher right now, you get the one you can find basically.
