New Brunswick has a lot of college kids but I lived there when I was commuting to NYC (1hr 15 min) by train and my partner was driving to Princeton (about 30-40min by car depending on traffic, so probably a bit longer to Philly). I feel it’s more realistic/fair than both of you living in Princeton with one of you having a much shorter/better commute. Plus if your partner doesn’t want to drive they can take the train to Philly too.

It’s minimum yearly salary of 40x monthly rent. So if your rent is $2000/month then your annual salary should be $80,000/year. This is a common requirement for most leases done through a large management company.

You can get a US Passport card if you are a US passport holder from the post office (you can get it the same time you apply for/renew a passport). The card is the same size as a license and has photo, DOB, etc.
