From what I've read, that's a common trade for wool in general.

Whatever you decide, look at REI. They have a 12 month return policy, no questions asked.

No sweat. It says to measure towards the end of the day because your feet swell, throughout the day

This has a print out, so you can stand on it and verify your size. Most places have something similar

Well, yea, that's kind of my point. I was going to say a $5 pair, but you know... inflation lol.
Even if they crap out now, you'd spend $27 to last 80 years. Versus $80 for one pair to hopefully last 80 years.
nahtorreyous t1_izwqk17 wrote
Wooo... $80. Just curious, is there anything special that can justify the price? I mean, a $10 pair should atleast last 10 years.

Or how many people live to work. When that's taken away they realize they don't have hobbies or anything else to pass the time.

Look up soccer, hip injuries and CTE. You might be surprised.

I would bet it's their diet to maintain the 300+lbs. Most linemen drop significant amount of weight after their playing careers but the extra weight they carry for x amount of years has to take a toll.

If it's steam, it's not open all the time. You bleed the lines once in a while, like the old radiators in the house.
This is a complete guess though

Osprey. If anything happens to it, they will fix or replace it regardless how old it is.
Edit; also I recommend buying if from REI, if possible. They have a 12 month return policy, no questions asked. Their staff will fit you for the pack and add weight to it so you can get an accurate feel, before being on trail.
