The popular nickname was “Ninja Cyclist”. She wore a black cycling kit, and used a mask for aerobic/low o2 training (by restricting breathing the body adapts to use oxygen more efficiently; some people go to high elevation areas like Flagstaff, AZ for this, but I digress).
Anyway, she used to come into Borders from time to time back in 95-96. At one point I remember knowing her name, along with a few of my
coworkers, but I can’t remember it now.

More legendary was Walking Charlie. That man was a gift, and it was heartbreaking what happened to him.
