Almost every state requires it for transparency. There are a few they allow for anonymous claims

Honestly if I ever won something like that. I’d try to work with lawyers to hide it, or find a legal way to have someone claim and take like 1 million payment just to have their name attached to it

I’m in the North Carolina mountains, same thing here. I was very confused earlier this week after looking at the weekly forecast, then seeing headlines like “country braces for blizzard”

Yea I saw a headline about ‘country braces for blizzard”. And I was here in NC saying “wait, which country because I’m in the mountains and get snow regularly, but forecasts put us in the 70s this week”

Well take into account we have about 600k in retirement funds so the market being down by 20% is 120k lost which can’t be made up by a single year of contributions.
But mostly sp500, my wife is mostly in a 2055 target fund because while I track hers I let her control it and she’s just a set/forget type.

So we maxed both of our 401ks and IRAs this year, I laugh because our retirement funds have less funds than they did on 12/31 last year.

No idea. Havnt spoken to him in over 10 years aside from ‘forced’ FaceTimes at holidays. I know it took about 15 years from that date before he was on stable meds, there were several ‘incidents’ the years following
Since then I have found out our family has a fairly lengthy history of mental illness so it all started to make a bit more sense to me
