Anybody from Connecticut knows you can't judge a storm by expecting one total for the whole state. That's just an unreasonable assumption. And depending upon which station you listen to will tell you a different story because that's where they're located. My house is on the Mass border on the 91 corridor and I'll be getting a foot there however where I work in Milford I'll only be seeing a coating to 2 in. You have to learn to check your weather from multiple sources if you live in Connecticut.
