Appreciate it.
I know they aren't all 'artistic', but still interesting. It's hard to tell which ones are actually good, I can never trust my own taste.

Always looking for feedback. Were any in part 2 more interesting than I thought?
Nixx_Mazda OP t1_jdd82yh wrote
Trying something a bit different. Instead of sunrise and landscapes I tried focusing on textures and details.
Sand, rocks, reflections, waves...it's a challenge since it's constantly changing.
This is what I feel are the most interesting 13 images, but I cut out 18 more. There might be a couple good ones in here.

OK that's good.
I think some of those days with a 4+ mile hike and 7+ mile hike are going to be too much, but I'm not really a hiker.
When you get home you're going to need a vacation from your vacation. You're packing a lot in. :)

At least make it a full day, don't try to squeeze in more. Victoria is enough for a day.

Very ambitious. Very very ambitious.
Doesn't say where you're staying most of the time. Local place, or going back to 'home base' in Tacoma almost every day?
You have multiple long hikes on some days...along with potential hours of driving. You don't have many breaks to rest.
It's a good wishlist, but I don't know about seeing all of that in one trip.

I think there is a hint of Mt. St. Helens in the middle of the second shot.
Wonder what the historic view looked like, before 1980...

I went in January 2021 and had a great time. No hiking for me, but still plenty of photo opportunities. Views of the mountain are still there, you just can't get all the way up to the closest viewpoint at the visitor center. Coldwater Lake is nice too. Here's some pictures.

Watching out for rattlesnakes isn't something I worry about in the Seattle area.
I went over to the Wild Horse Wind Farm viewpoint, between Ellensburg and the gorge. I'll have to go back some day with a real camera and long lens...

Mt. Adams on the left, and of course Mt. Rainier on the right.

Thanks.
Normally I'm doing sunrise, so I don't want to get rid of the sunrise colors. This photo was taken after 10 AM, when there was no sunrise color.

Regular photo converted to black and white. I'd like to mess with infrared some day, but I don't have a modified camera.
The sky contrast is from using a circular polarizer.

Paul Bunyans Stump on the left of Pyramid Peak.
Thanks. Was looking through these old photos. These are after sunrise with just blue sky, when the morning colors were gone but the clouds were good.

A couple years ago I went to Kalaloch Beach for sunrise (Tree of Life, etc), then on the way back I stopped and went for a bit of a hike in the forest.
Woodland photography isn't my strength, so there are only maybe 5 'artistic' photos, but I included a bunch of shots of trees, moss, etc. Sometimes it's nice to just see the scenery, even if it's not an artistic picture.

Makes sense, kind of. ;)
I say photographers rise up and name some things! This ridge is not 'relatively insignificant' to me! ;)

Good info, thanks.
A bunch of other ridges near Washington Pass have names, I wonder why that one doesn't. I guess I don't know the definition of 'ridge', when it comes to maps.
