Reply to Handwritten letters from Jehovah Witnesses by Ryan1006
I think it’s amazing that people have so much faith they feel compelled to share it. I’ve got my own beliefs and am not easily swayed but my husband always jokes that if Prince had knocked on the door and asked if we’d heard the good word that we’d have totally become witnesses. Obviously- uncool if anyone tries the hellfire/damnation approach but to just be excited about their belief system? I’m happy they’ve found something so personally meaningful.

I think that makes sense - see if it’s a design flaw or a manufacturer defect. My stock pot is maybe a caphlon for target? It was a wedding gift - I’ve upgraded a lot of kitchen stuff over the years but it’s still as food as new. Who would have guessed?

I just did a warranty claim with them (#24 Dutch oven) and I only had to provide photos. I wonder if it’s bc someone else is making them and they need to go back to the manufacturer.

If I ever come across them i’m the weirdo that will randomly message you bc I’ve remembered. The ikea ones sound promising - if you aren’t near a store join ikea family (it’s free) for shipping discounts.

I have a ton of the ones you linked to in different sizes. I searched but could only find out of stock links. Our lids are different (red outer, clear center) but they have held up well. Honestly they might be 15 years old by now. When was the big anti plastic push for food storage? I was surprised to see these aren’t still being sold. I think I have two footprints that stack - larger size had 3 depths and smaller size has two depths. The lids also squeeze together so you can stack them as a single unit per size - two towers vs dozens of loose lids. If you can find them somewhere or something similar I really recommend them. I’m pretty amazed we’ve had them so long - they have held up beautifully and get used constantly.

My advice? Pay someone to clean your place well enough that you feel comfortable having the landlord over.
And you’ll avoid future fallout in the event a fix you pay for our of pocket ends up causing damage.
And it might help make everything feel more manageable/ less overwhelming. It’s amazing what a difference cleaning up your living space can have on your outlook.

Costco’s Kirkland button-downs are surprisingly well made. I’d say better than current brooks brothers non wrinkle but not say early aughts brooks brothers. Limited fabric choices but a great value for the money.
Duluth is good but beware the vanity sizing. Their Best Made items are traditionally sized.
