New Haven Parks & Rec hosts free open swim at Hillhouse HS Wednesdays 5-8PM & Saturday 10-2PM. They’ll typically have 1-2 lanes for lap swimmers.

Summertime there are typically 3-5 pools (Hillhouse, Cross, Conte, Martinez, Career) open to the public, same deal but open M-S.

Source: me. was a guard for many years & teach w them on certain days. Come by and say hi!

Your best bet for the price is probably one of the firehouses in EH or WH, or a rotary/legion club. Not the prettiest but have consistently been the cheapest for a while. Haven’t looked into to them since pre-COVID, but at least a few should be able to house the amount you’re looking for

Only open swim in New Haven during the winter is at Hillhouse HS (back of school is entrance, ~76 Crescent St is closest address).

Wednesdays 5-8 PM, Saturdays 10-2. There’s a dedicated lap lane when there’s lap swimmers in the water.

I teach the LG classes with NH, so I’m there and/around all the time. Stop in and say hi! Feel free to PM if you have any other questions
