I’d prefer to not have fluoride added to my water, and we enjoy filtered water from our well, especially for coffee and baking.

Gorgeous, and perhaps a bit overkill for our needs, but most importantly, it’s not available tomorrow.

To be honest, we don't have an Epic or an Icon Pass, so that aspect doesn't matter much. My intentions were to get away without being too far from home (NW CT). Our local hill (Mohawk Mtn) doesn't have a park, so my kids are pulling for something fun to play in.

Trust me, this isn't a fun place to be in, and I strongly believe in keeping my kids mentally and physically well by enjoying the outdoors together. Perhaps saying she is in the hospital is easily misunderstood, but I'm still trying to come to terms with how to loosely describe our families situation. Thank you for understanding.

Flanders Nature Center has nice trails for hikes and educational programs. check out their maple syrup making demos in the spring. West Egg is my new favorite breakfast joint in town.

Reply to XL Center vs. Mohegan by ec34500
Mohegan presents the artist with an “all-inclusive”, in house deal. (Security, artist catering, stage hands, f&b vendors, etc.) This takes a toll on many independent contractors throughout CT. To contrast, take a look at how Westville Bowl utilizes a variety of contractors and outside food vendors. Mohegan has had a big impact on places like the Oakdale and the contractors who work there as well.

Reply to How do you think the 5¢ nip tax is going? Have you seen less of these little bottles all over the place? by MongooseProXC
Are we really expecting the people who are already making a terribly irresponsible decisions (slamming nippers while driving) to clean up after themselves, or have any respect for other peoples property? The consumers of nips are often the heaviest of drinkers, yet they don’t see how expensive this method is either. It’s clearly a mental issue going on here, and those profiting turn a blind eye to it.
