When I was 12 or so, my parent bought me one of those orange handled Fiskars scissors (model needlework scissors) for hobby and school use. I’ve used and seriously abused (thin metal, wires, anything really) that pair, and it’s still used often, 35 years later.

The third type (‘afvoerdroger’ as it’s called here) does exist in the NL. Googling for types of dryer (in Dutch) would have resulted in that answer…

Don’t underestimate the lack of consumers willing to pay extra for the more sturdy build quality.

Takes some getting used to, and careful is the game when you start. I much prefer it, and it works out cheaper.
