Did this one time in when young in the eighties. Was on a Yamaha 650 two hours from home and not enough gas (or cash) to get there. We drifted tractor trailers on stretches of I-80 for a bit.

It’s amazing how the pocket inside the trucks slipstream so easily pull a bike along.

The no visibility thing is nuts. But… if staying alert bikes stop way shorter then tractor trailers if the brakes come on.

I think we still ran out of gas, tho. Lol

I always loved splitting firewood. Once, I had 4 very large hybrid poplars cut down by the utility company. They left all of the wood in cut rounds for me.

I spent many Saturday mornings processing it into firewood

This is cool: I had a neighbor who could see me from his property working the wood. He told me; “I have a wood splitter that you could use”. Then he says; “It needs run and you be doing me the favor by using it”. What an awesome neighbor.

But I told him that I work a desk job to pay the bills. And manually splitting wood is very enjoyable to me. 😊
