Congrats! Hopefully you’re getting some great quality time with your new baby. I have a 2 year old and a 7 month old and the time flies, it felt like we just brought home our first one from the hospital.

We used the keystone stars database for an objective way to find programs that we liked that also had availability. Personally, find it difficult to take FB, Google, etc reviews of places. This database has several metrics to assess programs. From there, we contacted schools/daycares to setup appointments and tours and joined waitlists for the ones we liked.

We have our older one in a toddler program at the Aspen Grove school on 16th and Christian. I know they take newborns there and they just increased capacity/caregivers to take on more newborns. Wherever you go, start searching/applying now! We were on a waitlist for our older one for the longest time at several places before there was an opening in the current program.

Did a co-op here while at Drexel back when this plant was part of Sunoco, my job was to detect leaks at every single valve, joint. Climbed up all the tanks, vessels, and distillation towers to detect for leaks. It was a fun job climbing up and down and everything here, but man was it scary if there was actually a leak anywhere. Phenol is a nasty chemical!

It doesn't look too far from their spring location near the maintenance buildings. I can't see them putting it anywhere near the welcome center because of spillover traffic from cars. Many of the suburban Asians (including my parents and their friends) all go there by car, and unfortunately are notorious for just double parking grabbing some stuff and heading back to the car to head out. They'll need to plan out the vehicle traffic/parking situation well because the reality is many of the folks who go there go by car (or Uber/Lyft). When we go, we park over by packer park on 20th and just walk through the park to get there. Hate looking for a parking spot and we like walking through the park and making a picnic out of the trip.
