I lived there for several years and this reply is very accurate. While most of the gripes are true, they are minor inconveniences imo. For the price, I found Brentwood to be a very nice place to live.

I've never found the portions at Italian Corner to be very big. It's still delicious and I go there all the time, but not the kind of place that piles their sandwiches high in my memory.

There are many RI bakeries that make amazing Italian bread but Buono's is the best imo. If you're in the east bay, Scialo's in Riverside makes an excellent Sicilian loaf as well.

I like Ricotti's, but I think Sandwich Hut or Italian Corner has to take top spot for grinders.

Probably could use a category for chowder (Aunt Carrie's) and hot dogs (Olneyville NY system) as well.

Joyal's Liquors in West Warwick has a great whisky selection (especially bourbon). Buying good whisky these days is not for the faint of heart. Prices are crazy right now.
