Look around the Kendall square and Harvard Square neighborhoods. Both are very walkable, have access to the T (metro), are within your commute requirement, and most importantly have lots of college/grad students who might be subletting for the summer. In general Kendall is more modern with tall glass buildings while Harvard is much older in a brick and ivy sort of way. Regardless, sublets are your best bet for furnished apartments in the summer

Need more info to give you any advice… budget? Location of work? Interests? Etc
In general, there’s nowhere really bad to live in Cambridge but there are trade offs for every neighborhood

I swear I’ve never seen that place without a line of 10+ on the sidewalk. Would love to try it but I think I’ll wait until the weather gets better

Going to throw the hat of our fair city Cambridge into the ring here. If you want cute streets, coffee shops, and museums we’re hard to beat. Much quieter than Boston but plenty to do at a slower pace. We’re also on the red line of the T (the subway here) so getting into Boston proper only takes 20 minutes and $2.40. Enjoy the wedding and don’t forget Boston’s overeducated little brother across the Charles

I live near Harvard square. I’ve never had to park more than a block from my building. Except for steet cleaning days… we don’t talk about street cleaning days

This post has lived rent free in my head all afternoon… like how do you have 0 furniture? Where do you put your clothes? Where do you eat? Where do you put anything? Is it a personal choice?
Not trying to make fun of you just genuinely curious how this works.
