Pretty cool, right? They spent a week in Florida and apparently were such impressive teenagers (unique & funny, too, traveling in a hearse) that a letter was written to his local MO newspaper from someone in FL, telling them how they were great kids.
My dad and his best friends bought a hearse for $77 and drove it from Missouri to Florida in 1965 for their senior trip.

It pooped out on the on their way back, so they sold it for very little and got some bus tickets home.
