I’m relaying my experience.
The car theft in the OP wouldn’t be considered an in-progress crime either way.

Filing online wouldn’t be my first choice, but it sounds like it wasn’t hers, either. She called the police and they told her to file online. They have done the same to two of my friends who had their homes broken into as well. I’m not saying her claim is accurate, but filing online is def what they tell you to do now

I 100% filed a police report online when I got into a car accident. The police themselves told me to file online 🙄

It just happened in Vermont as well. 20 schools in February and several more earlier this month. Crazy crazy
