BBC is writing based on charges by the Korean law enforcement, who wouldn't have laid out the charges without any substantial reasons. there probably wouldn't be evidences, as with most sexual harassment cases, but if more women turns up, it will become a national wide interest/crisis.

Korean elders are known to be touchy (affectionate but not sexual), as was traditionally common and accepted. the country is going through a cultural transition where the older generations still behave the old ways (patriarchy, obedience, dogmatic) , where younger generations are growing up in modern standards (i.e. privacy, physical boundaries, individuality etc).

what makes Apple interesting to keep on eye for AR is that they are on the right track to make it happen. for example, the lidar used for FaceID and iPhone Pro will be used to track the surroundings with accuracy. their development of tiny batteries in AirPod and Watch help make the glasses lighter. custome SoC will allow it to be fast while energy efficient. this is their biggest advantage over other companies.

the only thing that we haven't seen is the transparent lens. there hasn't been any convincing HUD capable display in the market... even Microsoft's Hololens. creating a display that is transparent but provides high contrast even in daylight will be their biggest challenge.

the key difference between Asia/India's growth and participation in the global market was their emphasis on education and hard labour being part of the culture for centuries. African countries and cultures are known for chill and easy going vibe. not saying Africans are not hard working or education focused, not at all. but China and India had been centre of global commerce and education for thousands of years. how Africa will participate in the global market will be interesting. Africa is natural resource heavy, so that will be a large focus. agriculture and manufacturing is already dominated by other continents that have favourable context. global climate change will have a large say. if it's favourable to African continent, they can have a huge agricultural boom. if not, and costal cities are inundated, we might be looking at a massive shitshow.

even funnier, the unnerving part is not the blowing of the smoke up the ass, but whoever thought of it in the first place and how they got there. like, the husband wouldn't have just thought "lets blow smoke up her dying ass, just cause". he would have seen or heard of it before from someone else. and that person would have seen or heard from someone else. or maybe it was common to smoke enema yourself back then, and the rush it gave gave them ideas...

imagine if the only reason it's called a disorder is because the brain functions differently than the 'societal normal'. like, if you grew up in an environment that was designed specifically for adhd and supported your potentials, you could have become those crazy smart people who are also a bit coo-coo (by societal norm standard). but instead, you had to take meds that basically 'averages' your brain so that you can participate in the society.
