Show them the kid that lost his arm at Jackson Heights doing this dumb shit. Tell them what their life prospects are missing a limb.

Edit: this section made me shake my head

> Rey was surfing almost every day back then, he said. After his friend fell and he heard of Ka’Von’s death, Rey now surfs only once every couple weeks. In early January, Rey and the friend he saved from falling attended a memorial for Ka’Von, where they laid flowers and lit candles outside the Manhattan station where he had died. Later that day, Rey’s friend went surfing on the J train. He hit his head on the roof of the tunnel and had to be pulled off the train, not far from the spot where Ka’Von’s memorial had been held, Rey said. He was swarmed by police officers and paramedics who worked to stop the bleeding from his head. This time, the boy survived.

You dense little edgelords, how do you not see the problem? Mama ought to show some tough love so she doesn’t have to have a funeral for her son.

99999 out of 100000 times nothing will happen on the subway and almost nothing will happen on the bus because the driver can call the cops in a heart beat. NYC is a safe city overall and shit will go down ONLY if you seek it.

If you are THAT paranoid, my tips are; check when your train is due to avoid staying in stations too long. Board the first car or the conductors car which is the middle of the train. If you see no people in the car you’re about to board, move to the next one over. Don’t make eye contact or stare at people, someone could take it the wrong way. And if you have headphones on, keep them at a volume where you can still hear your surroundings.

If you’re still paranoid past that point, well all I can say is moving to a new city on your own is scary enough. Otherwise stay close to home and make a living there.

I want my tax dollars to fund social services and a public health system that doesn’t empty my wallet for basic medical care instead of funding stuff for people who cry that we’re not doing anything for them when they’re getting a roof over their head, food that they turn down, and crying that they have no work when they’re in the neediest and most basic menial job plentiful city on earth when they have no right any of this. But you know, if your buddies with the Jersey ex-cop, I guess you can get away with it.

More like hospital administration and the people who run them. Greed took over the admins and all these nurses want is more compensation. Look at what Nurses have gone through over the last three years, an absolute life time of hell they thought they would never experience. And who got paid more? Front line nurses who pulled double shifts for weeks on end or the admin who stayed at home away from the sickness and mayhem?

Signed, someone who isn’t a nurse but is 100% behind them.
