There are a number of great pizza places in town, but I’ve been on a big Marvin kick lately. Has not disappointed and although it doesn’t have a dedicated lot, the parking is rarely a challenge. I don’t understand the Caserta’s love - there are lots of places to go to for the nostalgia factor, and maybe that is why Caserta’s has a lot of fans, but it’s not a place I could recommend to an out-of-towner looking for a good pizza. I feel like the only people who go there, grew up going there and now live in places without great pizza.

The situation is bad everywhere, but here it’s not even comparable to other places in the country. Every metro on the west coast is 1000x worse. I have seen people openly use heroin in Portland OR and SF. Drove through the Boston tent city the other day and recently went to New Orleans and it was quite bad there too. There’s just much smaller numbers here and they tend not to be centered in the walkable areas. It’s definitely ticking up.

I don’t know. But it’s made my commute a whole lot worse. How is there no providence express train?

I’m only going in 2-3 days a week now but I’ve either got yo leave work early to catch the pre-5:00 train or the 5:40 commuter rail which doesn’t get me back home until around 7:00.

Generally you’ll only get that kind of pricing at off peak times. If you can book out Amtrak a few weeks in advance, you’ll get the best price.

Source: been doing this commute for 10 years and still salty they got rid of the 5:35 Amtrak out of south station.

There is no dual tax if you live in one state and work in another. You do have to file two tax returns, but you don’t get taxed twice. I’ve done this for many years.
