My mom has said this to me since I was young. Being born and raised in Philly, whenever there’s a news story about violence I always check what time it is first.

Obviously I don’t like folks getting hurt regardless of the time, but most most things do seem to happen overnight.

I swear, there are so many pretty buildings in this city that I have walked past a million times and never once noticed.

I have followed this story for years, and usually do a big deep dive into it about once a year or so—legitimately did that about a week ago, and thought “with all the DNA tracing that can happen now, they should be able to find a familial match to him at least…”

I’m glad that America’s unknown child will finally get his name back.
