Same. I thought about selling my car for a long time and debating just staying in DC but I’ll have to move back to car city LA in a few years. Plus I got a car during covid with a 0% interest rate. The extra costs of parking and insurance are tough and with inflation it’s hard to make the payments. But I got 3 more years and then it’s all mine and by then I’ll probably be back in California

When I lived in LA and was in a middle - low class neighborhood I never got fucked with. Then I moved to million dollar home in the suburbs (I rented a guest house and paid cheap rent I am not rich) and my place was broken into yearly while I was living there.

I mean it makes sense people are going to target the ones going to trendy bars and living in nice apartments cuz they got money. You gonna rob the dude living down the street who is as broke as you or are you going to go after the new ignorant suburbanite who never lived in a big city before?

I mean one dude yelling at someone isn’t anywhere near newsworthy let alone as bad as a shooting…. Like where are you from that one dude yelling is top news… in the capitol of the United States

Was on the news, active shooter in Potomac avenue and IIRC one person dead
