whether you like a film or not is 100% subjective.

but filmmaking is just as much a CRAFT as it is an ART. Craftsmanship can be somewhat objective. and that's where critics and other filmmakers/artists might have a leg up.

i also think quality of storytelling can be somewhat objective but thats much grayer.

it's an interesting subject.

a movie that tries to be 'deep' but fails. a movie that is constantly trying to remind you how deep it is. artsy to a detrement.

i find most chris nolan movies pretentious. confusing, complicated, and shallow. inception, the prestige, and tenet.

Sopranos is on a different level.

BB is much more plot and cliffhanger based, which doesn't hold up to multiple viewings near as well, but very exciting the first time you see it.
