Yeah, trying to get an afternoon/evening flight out of BTV in the winter is a complete crapshoot.

Vermont is beautiful and progressive but it also has a wicked high cost of living and the housing situation is dire. That is why people are moving away. If you don't have a decent job or other forms of support it is going to be rough.
