Washington Road circle is a constant clusterfuck. May the force be with you, fellow Route 1-er.

Liberty Science Center, Jersey City Waterfront, Turtle Back Zoo, Montclair, Princeton, Asbury Park (Silverball Arcade is a MUST), Cape May (the zoo there is amazing - don’t miss it), Great Adventure (rides for all ages plus a safari).

It's very pretty. That said, can be hard to snag a table sometimes! The pastries are delicious though, and the staff is so friendly.

It's pretty awesome. I live a stone's throw away from Princeton Junction for that reason. NJT is not the greatest, but when compared to most of America we're blessed to have a halfway-decent train system. The double-deckers are actually quite nice (by U.S. commuter rail standards).

Rojo’s is small but has a few tables to work from. Maman recently opened next to Mediterra and has a buzzing French cafe ambiance. There’s also a new Illy cafe on Spring Street.

I've done Sourland Mountain but never Roaring Brook. Adding it to my list. Lots of great hiking in Central Jersey!

Will have to check that out next time. I live in Princeton and love coming to New Hope/Lambertville so will definitely be back.

Love a good vodka slice.

Love the optimism, NJT. Unless your trains can transform into boats, that ain't a 30 minute delay.

Reply to How is Newark Airport these days? by gonerlover
It's really not too bad. I never check bags and I have TSA Pre, but even the regular line seems to move at a decent rate. I also fly United 99% of the time, which means I'm almost always going out of Terminal C. I've flown three times this year (once internationally to London) and have zipped through security (10 mins from entering the airport to getting to the gates). Five hours early is definitely overkill.
The big issue I have with EWR is food service. If you're planning to eat at the airport, even if it's a food court meal, leave yourself plenty of time as their operations are horrible. Like 45 mins for a food court pizza horrible. It's also overpriced as hell, more so than other international airports its size — so bear that in mind.

Reply to I’m looking for fun day trip places in New Jersey. I’m located in central NJ, near trenton, but i’m willing to go anywhere. I have a friend visiting from Canada for a few days so I want to show her around. She’ll be coming in December. by Mermaid_Queen99
Princeton, Lambertville, Asbury Park, Cape May, Montclair, and Millburn are my favorite downtowns.
Hiking wise, Sourland Mountain Reserve shouldn’t be too far from you (I’m in Princeton and it’s about 25 mins from me). On a clear day, you can see the NYC skyline from it. Eagle Rock near Montclair is also gorgeous.
Lots of good breweries and distilleries around. Flounder Brewing and Bellmara Distillery are both great, both in Hillsborough. Also love Unionville Vineyards.

I saw this yesterday while taking a Lyft home from EWR. Crazy! Almost couldn't believe what I was seeing.
