I'm up in Boston for the weekend visiting friends and going ice climbing tomorrow.

Today's gunna be checking out a bagel spot I vaguely remember being told is amazing (just saw it on the map and something pinged in my head) and then walking over to their climbing gym. Should be nice.... I just need them to wake up, morning people problems

I'm heading up to visit a friend for a bit and go ice climbing this weekend but have 2 days of work while I'm up there. Is there anywhere around bunker hill that's good to chill and work from? Looking mostly for quiet cafes since the co-working spaces seem more like long term rentals.

Friend wasn't helpful, he doesn't like coffee or quiet spaces.

Full disclosure, it was pre-covid and I'm sure the group has shuffled around a bit, but it's also just the kind of vibe that draws creeper culture types.

I appreciate crude and perverted humor but I need to know the person first, when you make it your base and up front acceptable, it's harder to screen out which ones aren't joking.

I think there's a triangle climbing group on meetup and at least last time I was there they had a green wristband system - basically advertising that you're open to belay people.

I will say that the people at triangle and peak are all pretty friendly and open to chat if you're worried about that, find someone to work out bouldering puzzles with. I'd offer to join but I'm still recovering from an ankle injury 😅

As much as I love Sefton, can't say I've been impressed with their breakfast sandwiches.

Get your coffee and then go down the street to golden convenience center, greasy goodness, but above that, cafe zata is my favorite. It's a trip across the river but it's damn good, just wear a mask, John's back up and about but he's had a rough time.

I'm curious on this one too, I went last week while I was in the area and they were out of my first 2 choices and it was pretty pricy.

Did end up going for the grilled fish with kimchi jjigae, soup was great, the fish was fish, dad got one of the bibimbap (rice bowl) which he said he liked.

Man this sucks, one of my friends been bartending there for years and she really likes it there.

But... I always go for the Malaysian ramen, great food for post sickness, any chance someone will release the recipe? 👉👈

I just got the autumn cat lofi going in the background for me today.

In other news, I hear the Manchester chipotle, which is walkable for me, is opening next week. Don't care if it ends up being the best or worst one in the state, I'm hype.

Social advice.

I'm worried my 12 y/o nephews dad is introducing him to manosphere bullshit. Anyone know how to counter it (as an aunt) when they're two states away?
