Atari 7800. As a kid I didn’t realize it was a different console as the 2600. I thought it was just an update as I had about 50 2600 games my dad picked up at the flea market.

The are pros and cons. Built in batteries mean that when the console becomes a legacy console you will have to buy battery replacement when the controller dies. I’m dealing with this issue on PS3 games now. Xbox you don’t have to worry about finding AA’s 10 years from now.

Make sure that when you pack your ps3 in your check in bag, pad it. You need to be comfortable with tossing your luggage about 2-3 meters away and 1-2 meters high. They will put your check in on in a luggage cart, lift it by the handle and will hammer throw that bitch onto the cargo conveyor belt.

Since you have an Xbone, get a PS5. It also plays ps4 games.
