here are some random bits: -invest in snow tires -accept that you have to spend $$ to fly out of the state or drive to Boston and fly out there -get a passport so you can go to Montreal and Quebec City -definitely pay attention to service provider coverage like cell phones and wifi -even if you don't need a pcp or a dentist right away, book your first appointment now as some aren't even taking new patients

thanks for the suggestions but my phone's midrange, the camera is fine but not the best 😅 it's a pixel 4a
I also want the printing though, like not going to a CVS to get them printed, but quality paper and gloss

I did this for Thanksgiving. I drove to Burlington airport and parked at Finney crossing since I had a friend there. I was dropped off at the Burlington airport where I took a Greyhound bus to Montreal. then I stayed at a hostel. it added a lot of extra travel time but I saved hundreds of dollars so it felt worth it to me.

if you do a property management company I would suggest a local/regional one as the nationwide companies charge a lot for maintenance work (I've seen up charges to owners 2x-5x the rate they paid for maintenance)
You could also consider a tenant that also does property maintenance? I forget what they are called but they live with a cheaper rent with the expectation they are taking care of the property

I honestly don't know that area that well, so it really depends how much they're impacted by mud season and if you're living on a paved road. if you are on a paved road in a town then honestly any car will do just fine. I had a front wheel drive Honda Civic and overall got through fine. most people like their Subarus
