Physical books: secondhand shops, or borrow from friends.
Ebooks/audiobooks: subscription services like bookbeat and storytel (they often have deals where you get a month for 1 euro or something like that, I rarely pay full price), librivox, amazon deals (a shit ton of free books too), and I have library cards in several cities, but that might not work in every country.

Storygraph is great. I also try to pay attention to the genres I'm reading and the app makes it so easy with all the stats.

According to my goodreads, since 2016 I've read anywhere between 57 and 178 books every year. But I don't really think numbers really say anything. I try to read a variety of stuff, short poetry books or graphic novels are always gonna make the number higher with a low effort, it's not just 500 page novels I read.
