I think two dates are getting confused here - tickets are OP's responsibility until they FILE the report. It then takes up to 12 weeks to GET a copy of the report. I'm not sure what OP should do in the meantime, but they should be able to get rid of any tickets dated after the time they filed the report, eventually.

I'm not sure if the trails across the river from Valley Forge ban you from bringing a shovel, but apparently there was a Union camp over on that side for a while. I'd think the trails between the river and the SRT would be the winner.

If you are in the city, rather than a suburb, you should just call 911. It is stupid, but in the city, 911 is also the non-emergency number that you are supposed to use for things like this.

To make myself feel better, I generally start with "this is not an emergency" and give it a second for them to tell me to hang up if they are slammed.

IMO it's all about having options. If you are living somewhere that you are locked into a single possible route, you are going to have a bad time when that route is delayed or infrequent. If you choose to ignore a route (subway) then you bring that problem onto yourself. SEPTA underserves huge portions of the city, giving them only obvious viable route to get wherever you are going. But you can often find other options... Can you take a bus across to the next RR line along? Bus to subway? RR Transfers? I've started planning my transit along those lines and have found some really cool trip options.

The tax burden between Nevada and PA is actually not all that different since our sales tax is much lower. https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-highest-lowest-tax-burden/20494 The wage tax in Philly is also partially offset by comparatively low property taxes, compared to many of the surrounding suburbs.

Compared to Nevada, your taxes also provide additional tangible service benefits such as usable public transit.

I wouldn't say it's common but there are people who do it, mostly in the other direction. Feasibility depends where you are on both sides. The NE Regional had a 65% on time rate, with "on time" being up to 25 minutes late. So... Not great.

SEPTA has a better track record and better prices/more flexibility.

TransPass are valid on Regional Rail on weekends, so TransPass is the highest level you would need. If you take more than 12 trips (0 or 1 transfers each) per week, the pass is cheaper. If not, PAYG is cheaper. Count RR trips as 2-3 trips for pricing purposes.

If you will take more than 48 trips in the month, go for the monthly pass.

Note that all the passes are Calendar Week or Calendar Month, NOT 7-day/30-day as you would expect.

Four Seasons in the new Comcast building, if you want a room above the skyline. If you want to see the skyline, then probably Live Casino or maybe something in West Philly. Not sure how their amenities are.

Philly has one of the nations best public transit systems* and provided your living and working situations allow, you can absolutely live here without a car. If you are living in center city, south Philly, or west Philly, I would venture to say your life will be happier without a car to worry about.

If you do being your car, I would highly suggest letting AAA handle it for you on arrival. The DMV won't do it, you have to use a third party notary or inspection ship, and AAA is the least sleazy and is great at helping you with the paperwork.

There are many situations where you will be required to prove that you paid sales tax on the vehicle, otherwise you will be required to pay tax on the KBB value. Bring your receipt from when you bought the car.

For $700/year you can get a whole home warranty covering HVAC as well as every other appliance and system in your house. That price is BONKERS.

We are also in East Mt Airy and took in a stray nearly identical to that one, in June. There's an adult cat that looks just like her with a similar collar that also roams the neighborhood... Keep meaning to try to talk someone into TNR for that mamma.

Regardless of whether you keep them or not, make sure to have them spayed/neutered! A local charity called Forgotten Cats Clinic does low cost treatment.

I did up until about six months ago, their Android app was hot garbage to the point of unusable. They updated it recently and stopped delivering the paper  but my Sunday-print pricing is lower than the regular digital pricing so I'm not complaining.
