The long underground walk way to the metro? Maybe it just feels like forever to me.

I don't know about "just walk in" given all the walking under the parking lot, but I've also learned to add 15m when i go to Dulles to just walk through the massive place

It's ok to not drink. Alcohol shouldn't be what makes life enjoyable.

I moved here from Seattle with a Nissan Leaf. My apartment has no way for me to charge.
I've been making it work, but it's really inconvenient to charge at the few commercial places that have them as it takes forever and you might not otherwise drive to them: and there's effectively no fast chargers in the area.

It was, but that process took millions of years and compression we likely can't replicate or sustainability

You likely can't build enough houses to matter as well it will still decay at some point that's too soon

That doesn't address their slow up take.
Farming then Harvesting the trees in a sustainable and scalable way that doesn't destroy forests seems prohibitive. Do you have a citation otherwise?

It's Takoma and having recently moved Seattle -> DC it's weirdo
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takoma_(Washington,_D.C.)
Though to be fair Rainier never actually visited the PNW, it was named by Vancouver who had a bromance for him
Wiki: The current name was given by George Vancouver, who named it in honor of his friend, Rear Admiral Peter Rainier.

I just moved Seattle -> DC and it really messed with me all around.
My city not my state is now Washington.
There's a Washingtonian magazine for here.
Though in a weird way it makes the transition a little easier to see the word everywhere.

Trees aren't a silver bullet though .They're slow on up take and then eventually die and release the carbon.

The state is not pretty liberal though, it's solidly marginally liberal. There's certainly selection bias in this survey and they only have 116 people proportionally representing WA

They surveyed 3,151 people. WA is ~3.5% of the USA so that's 116 people proportionally representing 7.7 million
Seems way too low.
They also don't say how they picked who filled out the survey.

Def take a class. You might be able to encourage your employer to have one at work.
Until then check if they're breathing and if not just do chest compressions, no mouth to mouth. Rotate with others as it's hard to keep up. Fast and hard as long as possible. You're circulating their blood for them.
For any situation where you're waiting for help someone needs to take control and direct people.
Give clear and specific direction to people.
"You (point at person) call 911,"
"You (point at different person) go to the front doors and bring the paramedics here"
"You (point at different person) clear the area so there's room for the paramedics"
"You find an automatic defibrillator"
AEDs are straightforward to use, but watch a video for how to so you're already prepared.
