Don't compare apples to oranges. Would say most people looking to buy a house need a house. Cramming a typical family of 4 into an apartment is not always practical.

Your still looking at 2k or more for a tiny 3br apartment and thats going to be in a neighborhood you would not want to send your kids to school in.

There is 3 ways this works.

Breed based, they go off some questionable basis and people pay more for those.

Training based, they go off real information and we get better trained dogs. Line info also helps. So a well trained animal from a line well behaved animals is cheaper. This is good for all of us.

Breed blind, responsible dog owners pay for irresponsible ones.

I would go with training maybe a mix, if you have a questionable breed you can send it off to a qualified trainer (with insurance and licensing) for intensive training to pay less. Making things breed blind does not encourage people to get real dog training thats required to make good dogs. I'll trust a pitbull thats passed through a few months of in kennel schutzhund training over somebody's little fluffykins purse dog any day. Split the difference and if it can pass the testing even.

Glastonbury is a big town by CT standards 35k people.

Doubt you will see much NB or POC issues, they do happen while our cities are blue or towns are fairly red but not so much in the MAGA but more small government stay out of my bedroom/wallet sort.

Some people comming up dont get that while friendly CT is not the down south over the top welcoming while talking behind your back. Were more know your neighbors faces/cars and enough for a quick wave or head nod. Keep your yard tidy and nobody cares much past that.

City's are a whole different matter but little reason to go to those sorts of areas.

NB might get you some old people stares depending on how you present, dont dress thug and nobody will care. The FOX news crowd is trained to be scared of the POC in a hoodie not a polo and ll bean jacket.

So pull out all those unfunded mandates and pay for them? This seems like a good idea to me, as now those pork programs will have line items in the budget instead of being hidden in delivery charges.

Now I dont think it changes the numbers. Fixing out min green mix would be a good start.

In a similar boat, how well the school system ranks is a good proxy for how well they deal with this. Avoid any CT cities the schools are abysmal in comparison to the burbs.

Avon etc has a overlay school system with magnets arts etc potentially a better fit for your child.

How did you "turn the heat on" the vent is closed on that and doubtful it's on it's own thermostat.

It's hot water not a CNG thing, they are only if the gas is out so say nothing gas works. Call a HVAC guy they would worst case tell you to contact the gas company which luckily at that point will probably be free.

As other said simplest is an air bubble if if this up high and been off the air may have connected there, easy fix should be a bleeder at least by the zone pump, Google a quick howto.

Look at that list none of those places realy resemble CT big or small. Closest we have is New Haven and thats a lot more theater centric rather than TV/Movies with nothing big enough to support a major push. NJ is close enough to NYC that talent and techs are readily available.

Could we spend a lot of money to try and get this sure but I dont think it's a good way to spend money. We need to work to our strengths rather than try and force things.

There are several year round parks that can accommodate you. Had a traveling nurse friend that used one, pleasant enough maybe busy for a few summer months but then back to quiet.

Our esteemed Governor ordered them to do it. Pretty much they used a record dump to automatically sign people us for hardship status. If the State of CT told them you make under x or a few other things. This is Neds idea of helping people cope with prices.

I did the install ended up under 10k with multiple 40k quotes and took a couple weekends.

Only rebate thats realy useful is the heat pump water heater.

The rebates are extremely wasteful, you only get them with a professional install not just a permit/inspection and the pro are marking up their price to eat the rebate tuning a 20k job to 30 because you can afford the 20 after rebate (whatever the percentages are).

I look at it as thus the city should be on the hook for paralysing the guy it's their vehicle without basic safety devices.

These guys are guilty of mistreating a badly injured prisoner after that and should lose their jobs over it.

I dont like how it looking that they want to pile the blame on the cops to give the city an out.
