We're Silent Script from Edmonton Canada. We play progressive rock infused with smooth jazz. This song is from our debut album. Silent Script - Monsters

Haha true they're all 10s for sure, but My Arms Your Hearse definitely has nostalgic value for me. I also feel like it kind of really kicked off Opeth moving away from the "death metal" sound and more into the progressive Era that would be later refined on Blackwater Park and Deliverance/Damnation.

My criteria is albums I always can come back to, and want to listen starts finish with no skipping.
Pure Reason Revolution - The Dark Third
Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse
Supertramp - Crime of the Century
Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
Pink Floyd - Meddle
And, if we can count compilations, The X-Files movie soundtrack from 1998.

Pure Reason Revolution's sophomore album Amor Vincit Omnia. I was obsessed with their first album (kind of still am TBH) The Dark Third, but the followup just... wasn't what I expected. Gave it a re- listen years later, and now it's probably in my top 10, on par or even slightly better than it's predecessor.

I don't know about rotting a brain, but depending on the song, the volume and how many times on repeat you hear it I'm sure it could have some psychologically damaging effects...

Sounds like you might need to deep dive into some symphonic metal from that time (say, 2005 to 2011-ish). Can't say I've heard that particular track though, and without much in the way of vocals I don't know if I could even guess which artist/band. I can't tell if the video you posted is an ad for a new game, or gameplay footage from something else. It's also entirely possible that the song doesn't really have much of a name and might have just been purchased from a composer/songwriter strictly for commercial use. Good luck in your search!

Came here to say exactly this. You gotta take video of every gig (even rehearsals if you want). If the problems are as self evident as indicated, it'll be super noticeable.
