bb's, the "ball chain" that is used for military dog tags, sand, something that sinks in water, doesn't dissolve, and can provide some scrubbing force against the residue.

it might be worth considering availability as well.
if the pots are of similar quality, a more common brand will be easier to source replacement parts / added pieces later if needed.

They can be a bit more work to acquire but I've had better luck with those sorts of gloves than the box store mechanics gloves, also provide more options for exactly what features you want.
