In my opinion you want at least 1Gbps minimum service with a good router and unlimited data. And if you're gonna go the wired route, a 10-port gigabit switch and an ethernet cable of the right length for each console. I have 3 PS5's, 2 PS4 Pro's, 2 OG PS4'S, and one Xbox One S all on wifi with Xfinity 1.2Gbps service with unlimited data. Only once have I had everything going at once. But no one experienced lag. People like to bag on Xfinity. But I've never had any problems with speed or customer service.

Go with what you want personally first and foremost. But since you asked, GP is overrated junk. Bunch of indie crap and some decade old stuff from most of the publishers MS bought up during their shopping spree. I've had a Series X and Series S and I've always gone back to my PS5 as my daily driver.

It's not a bad idea. A slim is due in a year or so, maybe less. Ignore all these dummy early adopters that say there won't be a slim. Of course there will be a slim model. And a Pro model. They've already proven they can sell slims and mid-gen upgrades. So why would they not capitalize on that?

Move the console further away from your router. 5Ghz wifi messes with Bluetooth. Unless there is something wrong with your console or your controller, this is the only thing that causes random disconnects.
