This might soon be a thing of the past. The MBTA got a new GM who promised to take the public transit to work everyday - which means that he will have the motivation to fix it. Apparently, he did good work for MTA (NYC) and LIRR (Long Island) as well. Also, a top executive recently got fired. He was working from Hawaii and was never in Boston.

I didn't go to school in Boston. But I can say things about the locations. Suffolk is as downtown as you can get. So, Boston Common and Beacon Hill are kind of part of your campus. UMass Boston is right next to Carson Beach - a bit of a walk from the JFK/UMass T stop.
