Are you planning to stay close by to the family so you're able to offer your help when they'll inevitably admit they need it? Ugh, I felt this post... family relationships can be so very draining. I'm hoping you've found somewhere temporary for the time being? Or at the very least I hope that if you're still living with your family, they're not actively criticizing and bullying you. This sounds very painful and very dramatic.

In any event, if you're planning to stay in Massachusetts, do you have a budget in mind? You mentioned wanting some resources to help find some more immediate shelter options like hotels and motels. Which kinda sounds like you might have the funds at least for a bit? But if you don't have a job or income lined up here, i was going to suggest to look into the emergency shelter through department of transitional assistance. They can get you into a shelter and you get assigned a caseworker to help guide you into more permanent housing situations, like public housing, lottery/ raffle type housing options, etc.

If that's not something you need or that you want to pursue, as others have mentioned, air bnb can often turn up some nice places that are probably cheaper, cleaner, any more private than hotels. And if you're super adventurous, there are a number of sites that could help you find safe places to couch surf (I'm blocking on the names but they're sites that exist specifically to allow both parties the ability to screen the other to make sure no one gets murdered and chopped up- pretty sure Google search will be fine to turn up what I'm referring to). And since I'm on a roll with these super wordy suggestions (and successfully avoiding what I need to actually be doing in this moment), might I also suggest looking into other websites that allow folks needing house sitting to seek out and screen others who are willing to house sit. This may be a gamble, but as far as I know, it can't hurt to look into it. I don't think there's upfront costs or anything, it's like a care.com set up but for house sitting.

Thanks for reading my rambling list of suggestions!! If you've got questions about the emergency shelter process, in happy to provide more details from my own experience going through that. That's the only one of the above suggestions that i have personally gone through. I truly hope you find somewhere... anywhere to find solace. This has gotta be really rough. Be kind to yourself as much as you possibly can.

Best of luck!

What a shitty thing to have her warmth taken from the world so abruptly. May her warmth and sunshine radiate through you and others who were blessed to know and love her.

I am so incredibly sorry. Missing someone who has been taken in this way is so very complex and challenging. Sending you love and strength.
