Grip is just okay on cold packed snow or ice, but I don’t know of many shoes that would be effective on that kind of difficult surface.
I love the boots because of the warmth with the Sherpa lining, overall quality construction and waterproof build.

I know everyone is saying it already but I'm going to chime in and also say Patagonia...once you get to like 3 products of theirs purchased, you become hooked.

You could look for a parka from Patagonia’s “Worn Wear” section which will be less in price than the same coat brand new, and then you can trade your coat back in to their Worn Wear section when you move back to Singapore!
