At least where I live the first five books are really easy to pick up used, so you might have luck there. Of course the later ones are a bit trickier to locate but worst come to worst you could always order them in.

I love Spader too, I couldn't get enough of him even when he wasn't in the series for ages.

I just joined this subreddit and...I was not expecting to see this series here, and I mean it in the best way possible.
I absolutely adore this series too, anyone reading this that is even remotely interested should check it out!

First, I was convinced that I was going to hate Pendragon: The Merchant of Death by DJ MacHale after reading the first chapter, but once I got into the meat of the story I fell in love.
I was actually expecting to love Michael Grant's Gone but the further I got into the book the less I liked it. Being older than the age limit on the town probably didn't help that though.
