I would ordinarily say C&J, but Amtrak does put you right in North Station where you can immediately hit the green line to Lansdowne. I think it’s the better route overall, since South Station to Park Street will add like 15-20mins even though it’s not that far.

Vacationers hate two things when it comes to skiing:

  1. Getting out of bed early.
  2. Single-digit and especially subzero temperatures.

Use these facts to your advantage if you want to get some serious skiing in. Find a mountain with a high speed quad and get all your runs in by 10am or 11am. Gear up if it’s going to be cold (like today), because that means you get bonus runs.

For something nice like a wedding anniversary, I’d recommend checking out Christmas Farm Inn, The Glen House, or the Mount Washington Hotel (that one can be tricky unless you’re staying there). All of those put you in your desired time range from Bartlett.

The Met & Frontside Grind are the two coffee shop choices up there. They’re both in downtown North Conway, and they’re literally across the street from each other.
