If you can find a day they are actually in school. It seems like every week they have a teacher planning day, holiday, special Election Day, march 10th is I shit you not a “wellness day”. . .

It is going to hit the lower middle class the most, because landlords are going to pass along the extra cost to the renters who have already seen substantial increases in rent. Pair the increasing rent with the real estate investment trusts and property managers buying up all the property they can homeownership is going to seem more out of reach then ever.

It also drives me bonkers that these companies are in the best position to take the tax advantages that we pay for, in the form of subsidies for eco-initiatives historical preservation,subsidized housing among others.

If they really wanted to help the middle classes they wouldn’t charge property taxes on single family primary residences (even if it is limited to property under a million in value) and increase the price on single family residences that are income producing. Unfortunately it wouldn’t stop the cost from going to the renter but it would at least stop punishing the homeowners for the positive development of an area.

My husband gets paralyzed by the idea that there is better out there. He won’t read a book because he isn’t sure that it is the most important knowledge. He won’t write because someone else could say it better.

I told him the other day that the most important knowledge is the one you absorb; by waiting for the best you are shutting yourself off from a wealth of information.

And who cares if someone can say it better, that doesn’t detract from what you have said maybe your iteration will help someone understand the “better” ones more completely maybe not, there being someone else who said it doesn’t detract from your voice

We are behind deep run we had one house bulldozed and 6 put in its place a few years ago, and there are apartments/condos/townhomes cropping up but nothing like the 1970-80 single fam homes that we are in.

It always snows in march, and every year people seem to forget. Yea it’s 70 we will get snow on march and the a week later it will be 70. I have photos of my husband in march standing 6” of snow in a tshirt because it is 70

I am bringing out the boxes of decorations tonight after everyone leaves and next week we will decorate whenever we have a break in meetings and want to. I’m kind of excited to be honest I love decorating with my coworkers

When do you take it down?

I usually have mine up first weekend of November but I was out of town so I am doing this weekend, and I take down on New Year’s Day. My reasoning is I’m not trying to do all that work for less then a month of enjoyment.
