Reply to TIL John Steinbeck IV wrote an article in January 1968 about marijuana usage among the troops. This set off a media firestorm, & the Army began clamping down on marijuana usage, arresting ~1000 G.I.s a week for possession. Many G.I.s switched to heroin, which was odorless and thus harder to detect. by The_Critical_Cynic
A perfect example of making something worse by trying to suit your definition of better.

Honestly, I stopped paying attention a while ago. Now I drive electric so I won't be looking any time soon.

Youngster. Even for years after leaded was phased out, I would still see 'unleaded' marked on EVERY pump. And I'm only 40.

You are forgetting generation ships, ships meant to deliver the distant descendants to far away worlds. Of course, over those scales they might not make it. Or they could thrive under a sense of unity made necessary by the known nature of their craft. They may even choose to stay in space at a certain point. This topic is where you get the good sci-fi.

Good point, I had not looked at the photo.

Drill it out. Pick a bit smaller than the screw and destroy the screw. Your valve may already be lost. I had a similar issue and the cheapest option was to replace the whole knob.

For what it is worth, water is a byproduct of burning hydrogen. Water reclamation is already a thing and by the time we are in space we will have water reclamation in-built. Capture of ice rich objects will certainly be normal in a space faring culture.
