You drop the match, and a fireball ignites the kerosene with a soft puff. The flickering flames illuminate your face as a devilish grin creeps across it.

"No more" you grumble firmly.

"No more toys lurking in the shadows. No more listening. No more scheming. No more manipulating our world"

Your muscles relax as you gaze out over the city at dusk. It's finally over. The dusty air from crumbling buildings fills your lungs. What drove these mere toys to cause such destruction? They said it was for you. So you could be with them, or something along those lines.

Whatever the real reason, it certainly wasn't hard for them. They turned us against each other right quick. No one expected them, it made infiltration so easy. by the time they confessed to you, it was already too late. This was all you could do, really. It won't bring anyone back. But at least they can't do more damage now.

You cough and huddle closer to the barrel fire for warmth. You feel a prickly sensation on the back of your neck. Something is off. Whipping around, sure enough, there is a set of beady, plastic eyes, sinking back into the bushes.

You hear a low raspy voice: "Weeeee wont forget thisssss"
