MagSafe works with any Qi charger. The MagSafe is essentially Qi with a magnet to ensure that the wireless charger is aligned properly for optimal (charging) power.

It may end up rubbing off with use. Sweat and friction can do stuff like that over repeated exposure. Though your pads as a whole will see wear anyways.

If you really don’t like it you can always get new pads, but I wouldn’t go that route unless you’re trying to tweak the sound or comfort with a new set of pads anyways.
