try 16.3, just dropped today, and see if there's still an issue. Otherwise I'd look into getting it exchanged, could be some hardware fluke.

Did you update to the latest iOS version? The biggest issues with new devices at launch in my experience are always with cellular acting strange and that tends to get fixed with the newer updates.

Nice! Went from ~30gb to ~25. Will definitely be recommending this to people who have it much worse. Before this I would recommend a backup and dfu restore, which will likely clear out as much as possible. But this is much simpler/faster.

uninstall and reinstall itunes, had this same issue trying to restore a device from windows once and it worked the first time after doing this
