I'm about 40.
I figured it up and if I invested $100 when in 2000 that adjusted for inflation with dividend reinvesting it would be worth $154 today. Sweet.

Amazon is on my watch list as well but I will say that from a personal perspective in the last year Wal-Mart has gained ground on Amazon and maybe even passed them up at least in the online shopping aspect.
The last several years I done most of my Christmas shopping on Amazon. But this year more than half (almost all for my kids) was done on Wal-Mart. They had better prices on nearly everything. And the things I ordered got here faster as well even though I'm only 20 minutes from an Amazon center.
They also do the in-home grocery delivery which Amazon doesn't do in my area.
I know Amazon is more than just the retail aspect and there is more than enough market share for both companies. Just something I'm keeping my eye on in case my experience isn't unique.

Are they slaughtering chickens to keep it from spreading or something? Because the price of chicken is way down. The grocery stores here have chicken for $1-2 a pound.

I'm seeing here about an hour outside of Nashville. The prices are dropping fast and and slowly creeping inwards. The same way they shot up in Nashville and then radiated outwards to the suburbs they are now dropping in the suburbs and moving inwards.
I was helping a family member look back in February and there was literally only 1 listing in our county. And it was a 30-year old trailer selling for $200k. I looked a couple weeks ago and there was 58 listings and there were several older 3-bedrooms in the $140k range. Same thing with my house the "zestimate" on Zillow had it at $330k back in February today its $240k.

Must have all been shipped to my local Wal-Mart. Went today and looked completely normal (crowded with people of Wal-Mart and a mess).

You can see what you are spending as you go, compare it to other stores etc. Lots of good reasons to shop online in general.

I will never buy GE lights again. When we first got our house I bought about 8-9 strands and within 2 years of replacing bulbs they were all done.
I researched and found another brand (it was more money) and bought those and going on 3 years now without a single one going out.
