I used an online service that links you with local lawyers, it was about the cost of my fine but money back guarantee, and a chance. It was dropped within days of filing

Your mileage may vary (it was" off the record", I am unaffiliated with it )

Homes were a lot cheaper in Central Illinois, but, no one wants to live there (technically the college drives the rental market)

Unfortunately here they can't build houses fast enough to fill demand, not even mentioning the damn rental conglomerates that are buying everything cash and immediately flipping it to a rental. (we were trying to rent and given codes to look at new construction homes, it was insane)

The weather and the environment draw people, as well as any huge industries

Typically yes, a speeding ticket will impact your insurance, unless your company has a grace allowance for a rare infraction.

I'm not sure if it's useful in Canada, but I recently fought a ticket and got it dropped, I used an app/website that connects you to local lawyers, I am unaffiliated with it, but the cost was about the same as the ticket (and nothing on the record), Off The Record.

Worth checking it out before you just accept the hit
