I think it was less that and more Sevastopol.
Russia wanted the area around it to ensure the sea port would be protected and be resupplied without bridges and ferries

We been talking about sending tanks for months.
How long does it take to throw any working m1a1 without anything classified on a ship and send it to Poland.
This could have honestly been a good rapid response scenario to train our logistics under. A hypothetical "we have nothing elsewhere in the world how fast could we help this area"

Too much dicking around and not enough action.
While the us has done a lot I hate the "we might and are going to eventually"
We are supposed to be the arsenal of democracy and my tax dollars paid for it so anything that is not classified and is already in Europe send it to Ukraine.
Send them out older fighters. Send them out older m1 abrams and Bradley's. If we realistically won't need them in the next 5 years and they are already outdated send them
Also send them the ammo they need

Some people stole the recipe for coca cola and tried to sell it to Pepsi. Pepsi turned them in.

I mean standard practice for a long time and even today is to claim your age is 10 years more than it really is.
Also I think people forget back then but parents told their kids never to put personal info online so why would anyone not lie about age. We used to make up names and ages for everything

Reply to ELI5: How can a 100GB game get an 80GB update and still be about the same size afterwards? by MissAJHunter
It's replacing data not adding new data.
But also depends on the game and system.
For example the first year of the ps4 the system couldn't insert data so if a game had a 50gb update then a week later got a 1gb update. It had to download all 51gb that week.
This changed later on but it's what caused the "copying" which took forever on ps4.
Some games like fallout 76 and kingdom come deliverance structured their files such that if a few things were updated a larger chunk also had to be reinstalled. That is why both games had day 1 patches the size of the game itself
usrevenge t1_ja9xxm4 wrote
Generally.
Publishers fund all or part the game, advertise the game, and give logistical support for the game.
In return publishers take a share of the money the game earns.
Depending on the publisher they can make demands on the developers or won't.
Like ea for example generally has a hands off approach..they give the dev team a bag of money and then say make your game but I expect 2 bags of money back idc how your get it.
Other companies especially in the past had rules. Like in older days publishers would force games to be difficult so you couldn't beat the game if you rented it

It's more likely close enough that it isn't worth mentioning.
COVID blows though get vaccinated and as someone who had COVID (again) recently go get the booster If you haven't. The newest variant is way worse than the others like delta or whatever.

No one is making you buy anything. It's not evil.
Preordering simply shows how much people want the game.
If 2 million people preorder a game it's an indication that people are excited about the game. It can basically give you a floor of how much money the game will make. It's good for publishers and developers.

They want someone to step in because Russia was the police force of the area basically.
Armenia doesn't stand much of a chance against Azerbaijan. It's complicated though. Frankly what makes sense on paper is for both counties to give up some land.
Both countries basically have populations in the other.

I work at Amazon
There is a big automation push. One of the things being automated is boxes getting labels applied for sorting.
One of the sites near me had a few conveyor lines replaced with this machine back in like September.
It didn't work October they came and fixed it and it broke again shortly after.
November came and the operations team at that building was sick of it and threw it into manual mode.
They spent hundreds of thousands on a these machines and didn't use them 1 time during the holiday season. They just put them in manual which turned it into a dumb conveyor that just move box from point a to b without applying the label. Someone still had to manually scan and put the label on.
