Yes, but if you go west of puget sound and out to the Olympic peninsula, you get the temperate climate without the Urban/suburban crush of the greater Seattle Metro area. There's a town called Sequim that is in a "rain shadow".... https://www.olympicrainshadow.com/olympicrainshadowmap.html So you get the benefit of more sun with the moderate winters also.

Or if you're super rich and have a boat, the south San Juan Islands, haha.

Not sure why youre getting down voted. I lived in Wenatchee from the age of 4-13. Moved over to Duvall/Redmond after that, I remember Wenatchee being much more family oriented. Especially these days, the west side of the state more and more belongs to DINKs and people that want to make careers the center of their life.

They were. Public parks and forestry services used to receive a much larger portion of taxes and federal money. 40 years of tax allocation to new programs have resulted in less going to things like maintenance forest service roads, and regular roads, for that matter.

Do you really think that? Yes, firmly blue Washington, with democratic transplants flooding in for the past 15 years from California and it's republican contingent having migrated out at one of the highest rates in the US. This is hyperbole at best.
