I’d say they still aren’t very desirable places though. There are better areas around that area that could have similar priced apartments: Kearny, East Rutherford, North Arlington.

That’s extremely superficial to say “I don’t want to go out in public with bad looking people”. Just because someone does not look particularly attractive does not mean they are not well mannered or don’t have respect for others.

If you’re just looking for an intellectual conversation and not trying to find a significant other then looks are not important to friendship
